Hi there! I am 23 years old living in NYC working in advertising, looking for babysitting opportunities. I have extensive babysitting experience with children whose ages range from infants to teenagers. I am CPR certified and majored in Human Development and Family Science at Syracuse University where I focused on child development and worked at an afterschool program for underprivileged children for the entirety of my senior year. During my time at Syracuse I was also a member of the division 1 women’s lacrosse team. I love to bake, read, run, and I love kids!

I raised my two stepdaughters from ages 8 months and 2 years until ages 8 and 10. As a teenager, I babysat every weekend from age 14, and most of the children I cared for were babies and toddlers. I also worked summers in a kinder camp as an assistant to the camp counselors. At home with my stepdaughters, I had a one-hour-a-day screen policy, so we did a lot of activities together, such as cooking, puzzles, reading, singing, and dancing, as well as anything fun that allowed them to be kids. Much of my parenting style and overall approach to being with kids and young adults is based on the Montessori method, which I learned as a Montessori kid from kindergarten through 6th grade. I believe that practical life skills, fun, and emotional intelligence, along with guiding them, are the best way for kids to feel safe and free to explore the world. At the end of the day, kids are future adults, and letting them learn to take responsibility for how they show up in the world builds healthy confidence and self-esteem, helping them become well-adjusted adults who are happy, healthy, and productive. When spending time with infants and toddlers, it's always important to work on milestones in a fun and healthy way while engaging and connecting with the child :-)

I am a second-year student from Southern California studying at business and politics at Fordham University LC. I have an identical twin sister who I am very close with, and who also attends Fordham University! I have 5+ years of babysitting experience for neighborhood family and friends, and an additional year's worth of experience working as an activities coordinator at the Four Seasons Aviara, where I facilitated crafts in the kids club, helped manage operations around the resort, and assisted with babysitting services while parents left their kids in my care on their vacation time. I was a competitive dancer throughout high school where I often helped mentor the "mini" dance team with my studio, including assisting with their classes and helping them get dressed and prepared at competitions.
