I’m a 45 year old woman in the process of creating a family of my own. I’ve nannied for high profile families in New York and have been around children all my life. Caring for lots of kids has been a supplement to my professional experience as an educator and actor. I’m fun and skilled and I’d love to help your family out! Warm regards, Stacey Rae
“Stacey was very kind and patient with our daughter. She spent a lot of time talking to her and playing with her. Highly recommend! ”
Hello! My name is Havina. I was born and raised in NYC. I graduated from Emory University in Atlanta with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) May 2024. I have extensive experience with children of all ages. I have babysat for eight different families in NYC (age range newborn-15). Additionally, I worked in Mount Sinai's Labor & Delivery unit as a Student Nurse Intern (2023). I have volunteered with children at Mount Sinai's Kravis Children's Hospital. I have also tutored elementary and middle school children. I am conversational in Spanish. I have experience with cat-sitting and dog-sitting. I have also taken care of my elderly grandmother with dementia for the last six years. Overall, I love being with people and animals of all kinds and ages! I am currently working as an RN, but in my free time, I will continue to babysit and be flexible.
“Havina was great with our kids (ages 7 and 10). She was very professional, kind, and friendly. The kids looked forward to seeing her each day. We had no issues at all and look forward to calling her back again in the future!”
Hi! My name is Cris I am from the Dominican Republic and I am based in Brooklyn. I have a BA in Anthropology + Social Practice. I have 4 years of experience in education: 2 years working in elementary after school programs as a creative writing teacher + 2 years as a full time middle school humanities teacher. Every summer for the last two years I have worked part time in a daycare, primarily caring for infants and toddlers. I currently work as an ELA teacher at an arts high school. I am passionate about community organization, art, literature, and learning. While enrolled in a research program in Costa Rica I worked in a small rural primary school as a teacher’s aid and English + Social Sciences instructor. I mostly worked with children ages 3-12 as well as children with special needs and disabilities. During this time I helped the school community organize fun and unique activities for the students and worked directly with parents to assist in their children's progress. Since then I have been part-time babysitting here in the states. My time working with children has taught me how to encourage, support, and provide a sense of safety and care. Overseeing both large and small classrooms has made me well equipped to handle and diffuse high stress situations with patience and caution. I would describe myself as a high energy, compassionate, patient sitter with a big heart. I enjoy teaching and reading to children, working on arts and crafts projects, and engaging their creativity. I am bi-lingual, I speak fluent English and Spanish. I am also happy to help with pet-care and domestic tasks such as laundry, light cleaning, errands, cooking meals, etc.
Hi! I’m a mom of a loving almost 3-year-old toddler with plenty of hands-on experience caring for young children. I understand the importance of patience, safety, and creating a nurturing environment. I’m looking for a position where I can provide reliable, caring support for your little ones—just as I do for my own.
I started working as a mother's helper at the age of 10, and have been babysitting ever since! In high school I worked as a nanny 20 hours a week for a wonderful family with two infants, and also volunteered at Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital to ensure children separated from their parents for long periods of time were receiving the critical attention needed to develop their gross and fine motor skills. During college I worked as an occasional sitter for many different families in the D.C. area. I have been living in New York for about 5 years now and work full-time as a Copywriter at a creative agency, so I just take a few babysitting jobs each month on nights and weekend :) For five summers when I was 18-23, I worked as a counselor at Camp Onaway, a sleep-away camp for girls ages 8-15 in New Hampshire. After graduating from the University of Maryland in December 2016, I worked at a Swiss boarding school as a dorm counselor, Spanish Instructor, and as a ski instructor. In short, I LOVE hanging out with kids both younger and older! I have ample experience with newborns, infants, and toddlers, and I love kids of all ages and needs. I have babysat for children with special needs and behavioral differences, and I am always happy to accommodate any communication/behavioral/educational methods that your family prefers (though I do not have any specific certifications or training for different needs). I speak Russian and Spanish and I am happy to help children learning either language by simply speaking to them or working on certain vocabulary. I am happy to tidy the house or help out in the kitchen when babysitting, help with homework, run errands, etc. Thanks for your consideration!

Natalie O., mom of five

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
Laura F., mom of two
