I am 31-years-old with over 15 years of experience working with children! I just completed my MFA in Theater Directing at UT Austin and relocated back to Brooklyn, NY. I am passionate about reading, love art and music, and I am kind, calm, fun and reliable. Currently, I'm looking for part-time, occasional, and date night sitting in the Brooklyn area. I've worked as a long term babysitter for a family with three young children - 6-year-old twins and a 2-year-old - and as a date night sitter for children from 3 months to 10 years. Most recently, I worked for as a part-time afterschool nanny for 4-year-old twins in Brooklyn. In college, I worked as Preschool teaching assistant and have experience with Early Childhood Education and Development coursework. I've also spent three summers as a camp counselor for kids entering Kindergarten. I am CPR & First Aid certified.
I am a recent graduate from Wesleyan University, where I studied Sociology and Italian. I successfully coordinated and taught my cherished after-school enrichment program—Cardinal Kids—where I worked with students age 5 to 12. Not only was this program enrichment-focused, but I learned what it means to make an impact and be a role model for younger minds. I have always wanted to be a big sibling-esque person to someone—I am the youngest in my family, and adored having all my older siblings and cousins as role models for me. During my teenage years, I lived with my single mom, who is the most caring woman ever. She taught me everything I need to know. She cared for my Gram in her final years, and I assisted with a lot of her healthcare needs—driving to and from appointments, administering medicine/diabetes shots, cooking, cleaning, assisting mobility, etc. All that said, I am well-experienced across many areas of care. It would be my pleasure to make a difference for you, however I can. I can also offer writing and language tutoring—as well as basic science and math principles.

Hi! My name is Caline. I am currently completing my Masters in Public Health at Columbia University. I usually babysit my nieces (4 years old, 1.5 years old) and nephew (9months). I love kids and enjoy spending my time with them. Fun fact: I minored in child and adolescent mental health studies at NYU during my undergraduate studies to learn more about kids. I am allergic to cats but happy to work with families with dogs.
I recently left the classroom after 11 years of teaching in elementary and preschools. While I transition out of the field, I’m looking for part-time opportunities for work. I’m kind, warm, communicative, and emotionally intelligent. This shows up in the children that I work with, as I put a strong emphasis on building trust with both children and their caregivers. I help children build their confidence, by encouraging them a love of learning in all aspects of life. With gentle care, empathy, and encouragement, I will dedicate my time with your child(ren) to their healthy growth and development. Some of my past experience includes: • 2.5 years of experience at one of the top private preschools in the California Bay Area (Google’s Children Center - sunsetted 2024). • 8 years at the most awarded private elementary school in the South Bay (Action Day Schools). • 3 years working with the community at the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose. This is where I fell in love with play-based learning! • Lots and lots of hug-giving, band-aid-providing, book-reading, and silly dancing for hundreds of children over the years.

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
