Hi, my name is Crystal! I have a bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Childcare has been my primary profession for the past 10+ years. I have experience with children of all ages. I am CPR/First Aid certified. I make a great sitter because I am very observant of each child’s individual needs. I make a great sitter because I am very observant of each child’s individual needs. I have found that positive reinforcement is often the most effective approach. I am warm, energetic, creative, and pay great attention to detail. Kids always love how silly I am with them, and I make sure that we have a great time. Despite my playful approach, I make sure children follow their parents’ rules and expectations.
Hello! I am an artist with my Master's of Fine Arts in Acting from Yale, mother of two school-age children, and I have lived in NYC for four years. I'm happy around shy or high-energy children. I love finding ways to reach them that make them feel accepted and in a trusting environment. I love imaginative play, keeping schedules, and helping with homework. Siblings are great, too! Looking forward to meeting you and your kiddos! I absolutely love working with children! When I lived in Texas, I founded a children's theatre camp in Texas for ages 5-18. I developed curriculum, managed scheduling and instructed every class. I have worked as a nanny for over a decade before having children of my own and now take part-time work. Some of my favorite jobs included two brothers, ages 4 and 11 who enjoyed playing adventure make-believe and basketball, respectively, who I nannied for 3 times a week for about a year before graduating. I also loved my time as a nanny for three brothers, ages 6, 9, and 12 who had packed schedules to keep after school: practicing piano, doing homework and playing soccer outdoors, who I watched for over a year. I will also never forget the family who lived in my building here in new york, whose daughters - ages 4 and newborn I watched at least once a week, sometimes more, sometimes just coming over to play and visit; ballet, painting, storytelling, and going on adventures full of imagination and play were all part of the itinerary - all while keeping to the required schedule for feeding and bedtime, of course. :) Most importantly, I have 3 siblings, including two younger brothers, both of whom I adore. I am older than the youngest by 7 years, so by the time I was 13 I not only began babysitting professionally but also proved both my responsibility and joy to play on a constant basis as I watched over my brothers. I have an 11 year old niece who is the apple of my eye. I was 16 when she was born, and my sister worked full time, so my primary job in high school was to come over after school and take over for my mom and watch my niece for the day, starting when she was a newborn to around 2.5 yrs old at 2-3 times a week for long afternoons until my sister came home. I absolutely loved it!
“Rachel seemed very sweet, caring, and professional. My daughter warmed to her right away! I'd definitely hire her again. ”
Hello! Thanks for looking at my profile! In my childcare experience, I’ve worked as a camp counselor, nanny, Mother’s helper and director of summer camp. I’ve cared for children from 2 weeks up to 12 years. I enjoy incorporating my knowledge and experience with art into my work with children because I believe it helps them to express their creativity. I attended the University of Oregon and graduated with a dual degree in Latin American Studies and Theater. Thanks for your consideration.
Hello! My name is Ana and I am offering child care and pet care. I love babysitting and have watched toddlers, kids, dogs, and cats (also can do other animals!). My responsibilities included keeping the kids entertained, helping them with their schoolwork, putting them into bed, cooking for them, and even picking them up from school. With dogs and cats - my responsibilities are taking the dogs out for a walk, keeping up the training routines, and at times keeping the dog company. For cats — I make sure they are feed and the litter box is cleaned (which is super important especially for cats), if the cat is playful - I enjoy playing with them. If not, I can sit there and enjoy each other’s company. Whichever flows their boats. I can sail around them. I dog trained for 3 years at Petco from 2016 - 2018 (I still practice my skills on my cat and other dogs I meet) I have worked with various dogs like Hound dogs, Poodles, Corgis, and the list can go on. Cats! I have one of my own and her name is Leche. She is the sweetest. I love taking care of pets and children. I love engaging with them and helping others with their little ones (animals and children). There’s a joy that comes with being an extra hand and being at service for others. I have not yet cared for Seniors but happy to be a caretaker. Hope to be your sitter, Ana :)
