Hello, I’m Halema! I’m attending Hofstra University on a Pre-PT track. I’ve been involved in child care throughout my life. I’ve been babysitting for over 5 years and took part in various environments that required me to take care of children. Such environments would be coaching, tutoring, and volunteering at elementary schools. I’m certified in CPR and First Aid. I would describe myself as patient, responsible, and engaging. I’m based in Hempstead during the school year but am from Brooklyn. I can provide references/recommendations of my services. I look forward to the opportunity to work with your family!
“Halema is fantastic! She was warm and upbeat, professional, and went above and beyond what we asked her to do while caring for our three year-old. Our kiddo had a great time with her and she was communicative with photos and updates. I would definitely recommend her to other families looking for a warm and reliable sitter and will book her again! ”

Hello! My name is Bri and I recently moved to NYC from San Francisco. I currently live in the NoHo neighborhood and work remotely full time as a Community Manager. I have been an active nanny all throughout my college years and beyond and really do miss nannying both part time and full time. I do like to babysit occasionally and it gives me the opportunity to explore different parts of this amazing city. During college, I was nannying for a couple different families that were consistent over a long period of time. A few standout experiences were working for a family for 5 months where I worked 37 hours a week in three days watching an adorable 2-year-old boy. My duties included everything from taking him to swim class, feeding him breakfast, lunch and dinner and scheduling fun events to take him to and explore the city! Throughout my college years, I babysat part time between classes for an amazing family of 5 for four years and still to this day, I babysit for them occasionally. My job entailed me to do homework, cook, clean, bedtime routine, drive to after school activities, attend appointments, schedule events, make lunches and over-see playdates for the three kids age ranging from 5 to 11 years old. I have two younger siblings so I have basically been babysitting and interacting with kids my entire life. I have always been known as the babysitter on the block and have loved watching kids. Now the tables have turned and some of my friends are starting to have kids and it’s definitely a fun stage in life. If you feel like I am a perfect fit, please reach out to me through Urbansitter. Thanks so much and I hope to hear from you soon!
“Bri was great! She immediately started interacting with our son and by the time we left he had warmed up to her and was happily eating dinner with her. He had a cough so she gave him cough medicine like we asked and was great when he woke up after going to bed. We’ll definitely hire her again. ”
I started working with children from a very young age. I have experience as a nanny and camp counselor. I also am an animal lover and love long walks with furry friends. Being the oldest sibling, it is in my nature to be a caregiver and I am very patient and lots of fun. A fun fact about me is I love books and music!
Hi! My name is Tess and I am a student at Fordham University. I am offering babysitting, pet care and household chore services. I have been a babysitter since I was twelve, starting as a mother's helper and onwards from there. My responsibilities included driving to and from school, helping with homework, sports and activites, putting the kiddos to bed, and overall general home care. I have worked with ages 1-14, as a babysitter, camp counselor and nanny. As a sociology major, I hope to start a career in early education! I am happy to help with any animals, as a cat and dog lover myself. I'm currently working with a range of ages, from 1-14 but am happy to help with younger or older.
“We are so happy we found Tess, she inspired confidence from our first interview. I was nervous about finding a sitter for my 10 month old but now I look forward to her playtime with Tess while I’m in class. She’s been super punctual, flexible, and professional- best of all she seems to click with our baby, who is always happy at pick up time! ”

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
