Hi there! My name is Aidan. I am 24 years old, I finished my Culture and Arts degree at Fordham last year, am pursuing working in the performing arts, work in the Theatre Industry, and am looking for some babysitting gigs to earn some extra money in this new chapter of life! I grew up between San Francisco and Brooklyn, so I am great with city kids as I am one! I have so much passion for working with kids (I have tons of classroom experience) and really think I could be a great fit for your family if you gave me a chance! - Why do I babysit? - 1. I love kids! I grew up in a big family as the oldest child on all sides so I have been helping take care of little ones for most of my life. 2. I have a passion for working with kids! I have in the classroom experience which has given me tons of childhood development skills and babysitting lets me use them! 3. I strive to be a positive male role model in all children’s lives. I grew up with girls and loved doing arts and crafts, make believe, dolls, etc… As a boy I love to rough house, run around, and play games. Anything a female babysitter can bring to the table, I can too! - My Background - I have been working with kids for 10 years as an After School Teacher, Nanny, Babysitter and Camp Counselor. I am certified in CPR/First Aid and have training in Child Abuse Prevention. Additionally, I have in-the-classroom experience which has enabled me to become very familiar with current educational standards and would be an excellent assistant to your child's homework needs. More importantly though, that knowledge helps me be more relatable to them as I understand what they’re currently experiencing at school! I have a background in performing arts, which you will find allows for pretty awesome story-times and games. We theatre kids have a ton of energy and I am no exception to this. I can keep up with all the energy your kids have and then some. I am a good listener and am flexible and willing to do just about anything a family needs of me. At the end of the day, the most important thing to me is to make sure your children are safe and happy, and that you as parents are satisfied with my care. I know it is uncommon to hire men in this field, but I promise you that you will not regret hiring me and I would be more than happy to provide as many references as you want! Let me know if you think I could be a good match for your family!
Resume Link:[removed] Hi, my name is Lindsey! I love working with children of all ages, especially infants and toddlers! I have an associate degree in early childhood education from Sauk Valley Community College and plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in the future. I have experience as a summer and after-school counselor, working with kids aged K-5th grade, and, most recently, as a full-time assistant daycare teacher in a 15-30 month classroom. I would also occasionally work in the daycare infant room when needed. One of the main reasons I love working with children is their innate love for exploration, creativity, and learning; just like myself! I believe that children need a strong, safe, and trustworthy support system to thrive, and I will provide all of those qualities. I love to sing, dance, read, write, craft, explore new places, and spend time in nature; all of which are traits that I directly apply when working with children. Furthermore, I am deeply passionate about teaching children age-appropriate emotional intelligence and regulation. While working in daycare, I taught my toddlers the names and feelings of different emotions, breathing exercises, how to find a trusted adult in times of emotional distress, how to say to a peer “Stop!” and “I do not like that!”, healthy ways to express anger, frustration, or other “upset” emotions without physically harming oneself or others, and where to find a safe and calm space to “calm their body.” For me, helping a child grow emotionally is incredibly rewarding, and I am ready and willing to nurture this growth with every child I work with. In addition to childcare, I am experienced in caring for dogs, cats, bearded dragons or similar reptiles, hedgehogs, beta fish, and parakeets (my family has had lots of pets over the years!). Additionally, having worked multiple customer service jobs and maintained the cleanliness of a toddler classroom, I am highly experienced in housekeeping services and running errands.
Hello my name is melissa I am 35 years old. I do not have any kids at the moment, but it's in my near future. I love children, baking and am an animal lover. I have many nieces and nephews that I have helped raise. I am reliable, compassionate and understanding. Currently working as a pastry chef with availability to work as a sitter. Gladly available to answer any questions you may have. Reference furnished upon request.
“Melissa did an excellent job taking care of our six month old, while we were at an event with our toddler. We would definitely hire her again for both our six month old and 3 year old. She was easy to communicate with, responsive, and asked all the right questions before we headed out the door. ”
Hello families! I am a third grade teacher living in Brooklyn. I have been a full time teacher for nine years and have over fifteen years of experience working with elementary and middle school age children in classroom and home settings. I began working with children when I started babysitting my toddler twin cousins, and have worked in education and childcare for over ten years. I currently teach fourth grade in Brooklyn. I’ve previously taught first grade, third grade, and K-12 art therapy. I am excited to work with all ages of children, and love to engage in their favorite activities with them. Thanks so much for reading, I look forward to working with you! Best, Leanne
“On time, kind, very good with communication and understanding of our unique sitting situation. Interactive with our son and very polite. Would definitely hire again if we’re in the area. Thank you so much”
