Hello! I’m Isabella and I am new to the city! I was born and raised in Venice Beach, CA. I moved to New York to be closer to my family who lives on the east coast and to have a new experience while I am in the early stages of my career! I studied Psychology at UC Santa Cruz where I focused on childhood and adolescent development. Throughout college I was a nanny and worked af a local preschool where I was able to conduct my senior research project on emotional regulation in I nannied throughout college and formed strong and lasting relationships with the families I worked with. Many families I worked with prioritized Montessori schooling methods, so I am familiar with that style of learning. My first year out of college, I worked as a Teacher’s Aide at a school for special needs children. I worked with children ages 7-14 who had varying IEP’s for things like autism, dyslexia, and ADHD, among others. I was trained in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) methods to de-escalate high-stress situations. I am a highly patient, playful, and responsible person, and I take pride in working with families and children. In the next couple of years, I would like to go back to school for a Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy, as I am interested in relationship dynamics and communication strategies. In my free time, I love to be active and outside! I’ve played volleyball my whole life, so I am eager to find a rec league in the city so I can play. I also love to travel and am lucky that my family prioritized this growing up, so I’ve been lucky to travel with them! My experience as a nanny has varied depending on each family’s needs, but I am familiar with school pickup/drop-off, snack and meal planning, homework help, bed/bath time, and planning daily activities. I have experience and am comfortable with overnights after getting to know the family and their children, as well as traveling as needed. NYC born and raised (Lower Manhattan), I've been babysitting kids ages 1–12 for years and genuinely love it. I'm a 37 year old mostly WFH advertising writer who loves dogs, cats, kids and has plenty of time to hang out with yours! I've pet sat since I was a kid and have always enjoyed helping out owners while getting quality time with a variety of fun pets. I live in Cobble Hill and am very close to several parks and paths where I love to walk.
