Hi, my name is Crystal and I am looking to provide child, senior care, or pet care. I have a Bachelor’s in Sociology: Human Services and have experience working with children, seniors, and pets for over 10 years. I love caring for young children and for the last 2 years have been the primary sitter for a toddler, currently 20 months old. I also have experience with crisis intervention and mental health wellbeing of children and adults. I have worked with youth’s in crisis and seniors in a nursing home setting. In the past, I have also been a certified foster parent with OKDHS and was able to foster 2 children, between the ages 10-15. For over 5 years, I also worked at an animal hospital and I am able to provide services like dog sitting, walking, administering medication, and more. I have worked with puppies and senior dogs. I am able to assist with basic dog training commands and assist with chronic medical conditions in dogs. Unfortunately, I am allergic to cats and am only able to provide very short term care for cats. I am reliable and always flexible to adjust any needs as necessary. My experience in childcare includes babysitting, coaching soccer for ages 2-5, substitute teaching for elementary middle school, and helping with summer camps like VBS. I hold myself to a high standard of responsibility but love making sure that the little ones are having a blast with crafts, games, and lots of exercise! (Dance parties are a personal favorite.) When I was 13, my first job was a stable hand, which involved caring for many different animals. I’ve also had plenty of pets in my lifetime, some of which have had special health issues like diabetes, collapsed tracheas, cancers and skin disorders, so I have no issues caring for special needs animals. I am a very experienced cook and enjoy keeping a house tidy. As a vegetarian, I understand the importance of paying close attention to specific dietary needs, but cooking meat products is no problem and something I do often.
