Hello! Like many others, I’m pretty bad at delivering a Stellar summary of my background that feels “punchy” enough. Personality I’m a very enigmatic, expressive and passionate personality. I enjoy being silly and fun, but possess “the mom stare” and “mom eyebrows”, and can command a room appropriately when necessary. Approach I had a hard childhood, with an AMAZING mother who did a great job giving me lots of co-regulation, indulged my every question with a “let’s find out!!” and a perfectly kid-centered field-trip to explore answers, sometimes in our own kitchen with a science experiment. I really love creative, genuine PLAY experiences that are kid-guided, they’re so fun. I have built upon a lot of experience :) I am passionate about yearly swimming lessons for kids, having benefitted immensely myself, and really love taking kids to practice their skills! Outside of safety, I really care the most about kids feeling heard, like the support adult around them is fully invested and fully engaged. Credentials I started babysitting at 10years old, taking safe sitter, first aid & CPR classes every summer at the local hospital until I graduated high school. If I could freely acquire degrees for free, I would be heavily credentialed in Occupational Therapy for kids and early childhood behavior. Professionally, I have worked for over 17 years in roles related to social services, nannying, job training support and placement for youth and adults with disabilities, as well as caretaking in assisted living and memory care. I am current on all of my CPR/AED classes. I am very confident in my abilities to assess and respond to emergencies including infant choking, first aid and CPR considerations. I am also familiar with basic medical equipment and disability or high-risk needs and procedures involving transfers, toileting, and various situations naturally occurring with potty training, elopement, TBI, night time anxiety and panic disorders, and more! I also possess a current QMHFA certificate for those with mental health considerations.

I have over 10 years experience working with children. I am currently a Teacher’s Aide in a 2nd grade classroom, and this is my second year doing so. I have 7 years of summer camp experience and 2 years on leadership of summer camps. I have tutored, housesat and pet sat in between the aforementioned experience. I nannied March 2020-August 2020 everyday for a family and continued a working relationship with them through the summers following 2020. I am compassionate, caring, loyal, trustworthy and resilient. I have worked with kids 6 months old to kids who are 14. In college I served as a new student peer mentor for 2 school years which meant checking in with students their first and second years of college and they always knew they could come to me if they needed anything. I also served for 3 school years as a peer support facilitator, holding space for those to come and talk and offering advice as well as getting advice and connection for my own life.

Hi! I’m a therapist who works with tween/teen girls and I recently moved to Portland. I love spending time with girls ages 6–18 and am available for after-school or before school rides, homework structure support, and evening help. My speciality is mentoring and supporting girls in their emotional development, friendship world, regulation, and self confidence! Before becoming a therapist, I nannied for many families and have a lot of experience working with children and teenagers, supporting families and am still in touch with many of them! I’m a responsible and caring person with camp counselor experience! I think children deserve to be heard, and their needs met. I am a relaxed stabilizing presence for my campers, and am good at turning any situation into a positive experience. Positive forms of learning and personal connection matter a lot to me. Additionally I have experience with Nero divergent (OCD and On the spectrum) children. I am watchful and entertaining for the young ones! I am mostly used to managing larger groups of campers, but my best moments have always been with smaller groups or individual campers, listening to feelings and resolving problems! I've done care for younger children ages less than 1 - 3 for relatives outside of my camp experience.
