Hello, I have time in my schedule to help you and your family if you would like to reach out. I would be happy to fill in on short notice also. I have volunteered within children's ministries and am an Oregon Humane animal shelter volunteer. I am also going to be volunteering within the Lake Oswego School District. I work for a college M-F so am mostly available on the weekend. I graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Science and rode on the Dressage Team while I was a student. Later I earned my MBA while working full time. I have family in the area that I like to spend time with. I also enjoy the outdoors, school and learning new things. Hope to hear from you!

Hi Parents! I'm Laura, a highly educated and experienced sitter who is excited about the possibility of babysitting your children! In addition to 20+ years of babysitting experience, I am a former teacher. Although I've mostly taught middle school English and history, I've worked with K-12 students in and outside of the classroom as a site coordinator and workshop facilitator. More recently, I've worked in healthcare for six years as a receptionist and scribe. I enjoy cooking, doing art projects, playing games, playing outside in nice weather, and reading with kids. I let the kid(s) take the lead in activities, within reason, of course. ;) Both my teaching experience and multidisciplinary education allow me to effectively help with homework. I have a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in psychology plus 38 post-baccalaureate science credits, I’m starting grad school in August for audiology (AuD). I hope to work as an educational audiologist after graduation! I am BLS (Basic Life Support) certified as of 8/20/2026. I also completed a background check and drug screen as required by my graduate program, both of which are negative. I am most comfortable caring for kids 2 years of age and older. I love pets and pet sit so no need to worry about allergies. 🐈🐕 my pet sitting rates differ from my babysitting rates, so please don't hesitate to ask! I have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record. I can drive my own car or the parents’ cars if automatic I accept cash, check, credit/debit card via Urban Sitter, Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal. I am willing to stay later than the agreed upon time provided that 1) the parent/guardian communicates this need with me and 2) I do not have any prior commitments afterwards. If you are going to be home more than 15 minutes past the agreed upon arrival time, please let me know. On my end, I will call or text if I am running late to a job. I require full payment if you cancel the job with less than 24 hours notice, except for inclement weather, death of a loved one, or medical reasons. If I have to cancel for illness or another unavoidable reason with less than 24 hours notice, a 25% discount will be applied to the next booking. Please don’t hesitate to message me with questions. Thank you for considering me and I hope we can work together soon! Best, Laura

New to Portland, OR, I moved here with my husband and two cats from Nashville, TN so I could study naturopathic medicine at NUNM. Before starting medical school, I worked as a professional nanny and part-time babysitter for 4 years after graduating from Vanderbilt University with my bachelors. I’ve cared for children of all ages from infant to pre-teen and we always find a way to have fun and learn new to things! My responsibilities have included meal prep, drop off and pick up from school or camp, morning and nighttime routines, and general tidying of the house. I would describe myself as punctual, professional, and flexible under pressure. I have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. I have also house sat and dog watched for a family I had nannied for, where my duties included checking food and water, administering medicine, and taking her for walks. With my variable school schedule, I’m looking for one-time or part-time childcare or pet-care positions. I hope you find me to be a good fit!

Hi I’m Andrea! I am a responsible and caring babysitter with hands-on experience working with children through a school child development program. I have two years of experience supporting children’s growth, safety, and daily routines, including working with children with special needs. I have also volunteered as a camp leader, supervising a group of five children, organizing engaging activities, and managing daily schedules from morning wake-ups to bedtime. In addition, I am a certified medical assistant with current BLS certification, as well as adult and pediatric CPR and First Aid training. I have volunteered in elementary school settings and am confident in creating a safe, structured, and positive environment for children of all ages. Additionally, I don’t mind helping out with housework and/or pets! :)

Andrea was super friendly, conscientious, and kind. Also made my party with kids and adults so much easier!
