My formal education background is in art history so I love encouraging creativity in children. I have been babysitting since I was 11 (starting as an assistant to my older sister). I love getting to know the child's interest and joining them in their play. With my past families, I began watching them as infants and into their toddler years. With some of the children, we had a great time building forts or lego cities of their dreams! In the past, I've taken the Red Cross Babysitting certification which breaks down the stages of child development. It also taught signs of emergency situations. I've also grown up with many cousins and was lucky to gain experience babysitting them at all ages. I've also had past experience in cat sitting which was very minimal (feeding, ensuring medication was taken, and cleaning litter). I believe I've gained more insight now that I live with two cats aged 1 and 3! I also spent a summer cleaning vacation rentals within an allotted three hour window with provided supplies. When it comes to cleaning, I pride myself in being very detailed oriented.
Hi! I’m Andrea, a mom to an energetic 4-year-old and a professional childcare provider with over 15 years of experience caring for children of all ages, including children with special needs. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I currently work professionally with children every day. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and feel comfortable while parents have peace of mind. I enjoy reading stories, arts and crafts, outdoor play, educational activities, and helping children build confidence through positive encouragement. Through my work in ABA, I have experience supporting children with autism and other developmental needs using patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I’m happy to help with light housekeeping related to the children, preparing simple meals and snacks, homework help, bedtime routines, and keeping your family’s schedule running smoothly. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your children. As a mom myself, I treat every child with the same kindness, patience, and attention I’d want for my own. I’d love the opportunity to meet your family!
Welcome — my name is Michael! I’m an educator, parent, and lifelong caregiver with over 25 years of experience working with children, seniors, plants, and cats. I hold a master’s degree in Public Administration and completed all coursework for a master’s in the Art of Teaching. Over the years, I’ve raised five children and numerous godchildren, coached youth sports, and led art, tutoring, and community programs that center creativity and care. I love the outdoors, plants, cooking, music, and meditation — and I bring that same balance and joy into the homes I support. Families describe me as calm, reliable, and nurturing, with a structured yet easygoing approach that helps everyone feel at ease. I’m happy to cook and do light cleaning, but I’m not a housekeeper — no deep cleaning. I’m great with cats and plants, and I’m still working on overcoming my fear of dogs. I look forward to connecting with families who value kindness, growth, and good energy in their home.
Hi my name is Lexi! I am 28 years old. My past work experience has been with teenagers 12-17 year olds and this was teenagers who struggled with behavioral issues and trauma, so I do have experience with de-escalation and trauma informed. Although, I have a niece and a nephew who are 1 and 3 who I am very close to and have babysat on multiple occasions.
“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Lexi for 4 years. She is very personable, professional, and punctual. She is able to turn a dull environment into something more exciting with her enthusiastic personality. As our friendship has grown I have seen how wonderful of a first time aunt she is. I 100% recommend Lexi as a babysitter for various ages.”
Hello! Like many others, I’m pretty bad at delivering a Stellar summary of my background that feels “punchy” enough. Personality I’m a very enigmatic, expressive and passionate personality. I enjoy being silly and fun, but possess “the mom stare” and “mom eyebrows”, and can command a room appropriately when necessary. Approach I had a hard childhood, with an AMAZING mother who did a great job giving me lots of co-regulation, indulged my every question with a “let’s find out!!” and a perfectly kid-centered field-trip to explore answers, sometimes in our own kitchen with a science experiment. I really love creative, genuine PLAY experiences that are kid-guided, they’re so fun. I have built upon a lot of experience :) I am passionate about yearly swimming lessons for kids, having benefitted immensely myself, and really love taking kids to practice their skills! Outside of safety, I really care the most about kids feeling heard, like the support adult around them is fully invested and fully engaged. Credentials I started babysitting at 10years old, taking safe sitter, first aid & CPR classes every summer at the local hospital until I graduated high school. If I could freely acquire degrees for free, I would be heavily credentialed in Occupational Therapy for kids and early childhood behavior. Professionally, I have worked for over 17 years in roles related to social services, nannying, job training support and placement for youth and adults with disabilities, as well as caretaking in assisted living and memory care. I am current on all of my CPR/AED classes. I am very confident in my abilities to assess and respond to emergencies including infant choking, first aid and CPR considerations. I am also familiar with basic medical equipment and disability or high-risk needs and procedures involving transfers, toileting, and various situations naturally occurring with potty training, elopement, TBI, night time anxiety and panic disorders, and more! I also possess a current QMHFA certificate for those with mental health considerations.

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
