New to Portland, OR, I moved here with my husband and two cats from Nashville, TN so I could study naturopathic medicine at NUNM. Before starting medical school, I worked as a professional nanny and part-time babysitter for 4 years after graduating from Vanderbilt University with my bachelors. I’ve cared for children of all ages from infant to pre-teen and we always find a way to have fun and learn new to things! My responsibilities have included meal prep, drop off and pick up from school or camp, morning and nighttime routines, and general tidying of the house. I would describe myself as punctual, professional, and flexible under pressure. I have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. I have also house sat and dog watched for a family I had nannied for, where my duties included checking food and water, administering medicine, and taking her for walks. Hi! After successfully completing my time in the Navy, I'm currently working as a Field Service Engineer at a tech company but want to save more money for college and law school. Growing up, I took care of my sister off and on while my parents were out. When I turned 15, I started working as a lifeguard at my hometown's water park. And when I was 19, I worked for 6 months as a lifeguard at Disney World's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Contemporary Resort. Hi my name is Lexi! I am 28 years old. My past work experience has been with teenagers 12-17 year olds and this was teenagers who struggled with behavioral issues and trauma, so I do have experience with de-escalation and trauma informed. Although, I have a niece and a nephew who are 1 and 3 who I am very close to and have babysat on multiple occasions.
