I’m also a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with years of experience supporting children and families through all kinds of situations. I bring a grounded, nurturing presence and a deep understanding of child development, emotional needs, and healthy communication. I’m comfortable with infants through teens and especially gifted at helping kids feel secure, seen, and understood. Parents tell me I’m mature, reliable, and very easy to communicate with. I also pride myself on creating a calm, positive environment where kids can play, relax, and be themselves. I am a 62 year young, recently widowed, grandmother of two, mother of three grown sons. I have been caring for children since my twin sisters were born in 1968. I am especially good with newborns, and new mothers. I have taught preschool, Sunday School, and am from Charleston and know the area. I drive to you…have a late model car that can accommodate 3 littles in the back and one 12+ in the front. I can sit for out of town visitors in hotels and resorts, can help new moms at home, I can cook, run errands, and run the house if necessary. I like to take children out and about, and keep them busy. I can provide references from parents, physicians, clergy, and other professionals. I do work some during the day and am not looking for a full time Nanny job, but my hours are flexible. I am familiar with both Moms on Call and attachment parenting.
