As a Mom of three grown children, I strongly believe in being proactive by providing guidance and positive support in age-appropriate and developmental level-appropriate activities, with an emphasis on growing and learning. While nannying for a family, I strictly follow the parents' rules and guidelines, and work very hard to accomplish their expected outcomes for the child/children. I believe communication with parents, via phone, texts, pictures, videos, is very important. And I am at all times aware of and respect a family's privacy. I feel very comfortable (and love!) caring for newborns and infants; feedings (breast milk and formula); baby food preparation; frequent diaper changes, nap times, new stimulations through reading, music, toys, walks, outings, etc. For older children, my experience includes morning and bedtime routines; meal preparation and serving; school / lesson drop-offs and pick-ups; tutoring; homework supervision; play date supervision; screen time monitoring; learning through reading, music, crafts, outdoor play, library, museum and playplace visits, etc. I also have experience in almost every aspect of household assistance; grocery inventory and shopping (including searching several stores for that one special item!), meal prep, laundry, cleaning, etc. Additionally, I am now available for pet care / sitting. Hi! My name is Jayda and I'm originally from San Antonio, but I'm currently attending the University of North Texas! I have plenty of experience with both children and pets! I have a younger sister and baby cousin that I often babysit and love to provide care for. I’ve been passionate about health and wellness for as long as I can remember and began midwifery school this January as my interest grew into Holistic Maternal Health and Midwifery care over the last couple of years. The first couple of months solidified my path, though I find myself needing to pause my education to save money for finishing school. I believe firmly in working toward a society which dignifies the lives, needs, and natural processes of both mother and child during life’s early stages. Long term career-wise I see myself working with women and babies in need of affordable, loving care, and until that time I see myself working with and being inspired by the babies who’ve grown older and have begun to reflect the love and care given to them in their tiny years.
