I started babysitting for my neighbors when I was 11 years old. I babysat for two families; the first had a 7-year-old and a newborn. The second family had three children, the youngest was an infant when I first started sitting for them. Not only did I watch the kids, I also typically cooked and served meals, cleaned the play areas and kitchen, and watched the dog. Fast forward, I'm now the mom of two adult "children," both fully launched and doing well. I'm looking to fill some time and make some extra income, either by babysitting or og walking/sitting. Hello! I have been babysitting since I was 13. During high school I was a regular caretaker for a 6 and 8 year old and their puppy. It was a joy to watch them grow over the course of a few years. I also had many other less committal gigs with kids ranging from infant to middle school. One example of a regular job was caring for a family of a 2,4 and 6 year old (and getting them all to bed!). Through out college I picked up some gigs here and there. One summer after college I ran a 2 week nature based day camp for 3-5 year-olds. I love witnessing the creativity and wisdom of children and understand the most important thing is encouraging them to be their true selves and making sure they’re safe and at ease. Hi, My name is Aani! currently a 3rd year student at the University of Virginia, but I am from the dmv area! I am a fun and flexible person who still always puts safety first. I have years of childcare experience, from being a babysitter, a counselor at sports camps, recreational coaching, being a Sr. summer camp counselor at the YMCA, and currently a lead after school care counselor of the after school program at my local elementary school.
