I have a lot of experience working with kids. I have been a gymnastics coach for the last four years working with infants all the way to teenagers. As a coach, my responsibilities have included running both classes, private lessons and summer camps. Classes and private lessons have really taught me how to most effectively communicate with kids, whereas working at the summer camps has allowed me to tap into my creativity, coming up with games and crafts that kids actually enjoy. I have always babysat on the side in addition to coaching, so I am also very familiar with any household tasks that might be expected of me- bedtime, making dinners, etc! If you have pets, I am happy to look after them as well. I grew up with two dogs and have a mini dachshund myself now- I love animals! I am very adaptable to your families needs and always communicate to the best of my abilities. Additionally, I am CPR and first aid certified!
Hi, my name is Jea! I’m a childcare provider based in Arlington, VA, currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have extensive experience working with children through teaching, camp counseling, and my current role as an RBT supporting children and young adults across a wide range of ages and needs. I provide childcare for infants through teens (0–17) and focus on creating a calm, structured, and engaging environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged. I enjoy a mix of educational and fun activities such as reading, creative play, outdoor time, crafts, and helping with homework and daily routines. In addition to childcare, I’m comfortable with light household support related to childcare needs, such as meal/snack prep, tidying, and organization. I also have some experience with pet care, particularly dogs, and am comfortable assisting with basic care needs. I’m dependable, communicative, and flexible with scheduling, including daytime care, evenings, and occasional last-minute support when available. My goal is to provide families with consistent, high-quality care they can trust!
I have over 2.5 years of hands-on childcare experience as an au pair, caring for two children from infancy (4 months old) through their toddler years. My responsibilities included feeding, diaper changes, nap routines, age-appropriate educational activities, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. In addition, I volunteer regularly with the Pre-K ministry at my local church, where I help supervise and engage a group of up to 10 children ages 4–6. I lead crafts, read stories, organize interactive activities, and help create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for the children. I am a responsible, patient, and caring caregiver who enjoys supporting children’s development through play, learning, and positive relationships. As a bilingual English and Spanish speaker, I can also provide language exposure for families who value a multicultural environment.
Hi - My name is Mariel. I have more than 4 years of experience taking care of little ones. I am offering child care and house services; organizing your closet or helping you clean your house. I enjoy being a babysitter and have been watching newborns, infants, and toddlers since I was 8 years old because I used to take care of my young sister in Peru while my mother went to work. Obviously, I had the help of my older sister. I started working more seriously as a caregiver when I was 18, taking care of a newborn for two months, then I came to the USA as an au-pair, and took care of a toddler and a 4-year-old for two years. After that, I took care of a baby for a year and a half until he went to daycare. And my last job was with a baby; my contract was for 5 months, and it was a great time with them. I have great references from all my previous jobs. I am happy to work with families with dogs, but I will not take care of the dog unless I see a great need for the pup, and I will try my best to help if the dog is in need and you are not home. I will prefer a schedule from 9 AM to 4 PM, and weekends are off-limits since I have other commitments, and I prioritize time with my family.
Hi - My name is Lillie Kate, and I'm currently in grad school at GW. I am offering child care and household services. I love being a babysitter and have been watching newborns, infants, toddlers, and kids since I was 12 years old. My responsibilities have included driving to/from school, crafts, tutoring, and even dance lessons. I also work as a household assistant and can cook, clean, and run errands.

"UrbanSitter is my go-to for quality sitters! I can book weeks ahead of time or easily find a same-day sitter when in a bind. I even hired a part-time nanny during a daycare transition. Customer service is helpful and babysitters respond in a timely manner."
