Hi! I’m a reliable, nurturing caregiver with years of hands-on experience raising three children of my own, along with professional nannying experience. Most recently, I cared for an 11-month-old, supporting daily routines, feeding, naps, and developmental play. I’m patient, attentive, and very in tune with children’s emotional and physical needs. Hey hey! I am a current college student, with a future in teaching. My experience with kids is primarily casual (non-professional), as I have babysat for my friends, coworkers, and neighbours— and spent some time in my church’s toddler nursery on Sundays. Professionally, I work customer facing jobs (server, barista, cashier), so families are commonly around me. Also, I was a teacher at the Boys and Girls Club (3rd grade). Babysitting is as serious and impactful as being a nanny or au pair. It is less time on a schedule, or less responsibilities around the house, but the children are still influenced. Being on the same page with the parents is, obviously, important; translating the parent’s rules to maintain the fun environment created for the children is equally important. People joke that toddlers/kids and Seniors are very similar. In a funny way, yes. In a serious way, also yes. Patience, fostering independence, maintaining schedules. Oh, and, listening to stories. I have been taking care of children and seniors for 30 years and honestly brings me joy to be able to help others as well as taking care of pets which I absolutely love animals. I have been told by a lot of people that I have a kind heart and that I will go out of my way to help those that need it the most and I know how important it is to provide good care and have the patience that is needed and just to know that I've made that small difference in somebody's life. I also love doing various activities no matter what age group as well as cooking and cleaning and spending that quality time getting to know the families.
