Hello UrbanSitter Families! I'm not the greatest at introductions but I promise I'm far better in-person with families and kids. Combined, I have now over 15 years of experience working with families. In fact, there has not really been a time where I have ever stopped working with families! I have professionally managed events, conferences, and weddings for a good chunk of my career before transitioning to academic research and law. Outside of this platform, I work privately in law, with content management, and coach public speaking. I took a break from UrbanSitter for several years for grad schools. Hey guys! My name is Laura, I'm 28 years old, I have a law degree from Brazil and I currently provide child and pet care in Seattle. In my home country, I worked with children aged 0 to 14 (several at the same time!) in a playground, as a monitor, and I also provided care for my younger sister for several years (she is currently 9 years old!) . In Seattle, I have extensive experience caring for infants (including twins!) and toddlers. In addition to changing diapers, offering bottles and healthy foods and lots of affection and love, I also have experience with food introduction, games for milestone development and simple sign languages ​​for infant communication. I also love listening to music, entertaining and exercising the imagination of children of all ages! I am also available to clean areas related to children and I have good experience with this. I have been a nanny for over 12 years and about 8 years ago I transitioned into the corporate world. I am missing all the silly times with my little people and would like some occasional jobs to keep me engaged and having fun! I have a ton of energy and can keep up with any child or large families. I love animals as well! I have had quite a few cooking jobs and I don't sit very well for too long. So, if a baby is sleeping... I am cleaning or prepping food :) My minimum is 4 hours of work, so if you come home early, I still get paid for 4 hours. Thank you.
