I am a mother and a grandmother. I raised my three children with love, devotion, a sense of humor, surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. They are all well adjusted adults. I have also been a caregiver/babysitter for two of my four grandchildren as a regular job, on Bainbridge Island and have taken care of all my grandchildren throughout their lives on many different occasions. I have also been a caregiver for the elderly for the past 6 years for a company that just closed its doors, unfortunately. I have two cats and have had cats all my life. They love me and I love them.

I am a mother of four wonderful children and a grandmother of 13. When my children were small, I had a daycare business in my home so I could be at home for my own children as well. I have a deep love and respect for children and I delight in their pure and unique personalities. I also love older people and respect their significance and wisdom in the world. My friends call me Jodi. I love kids of all ages and believe they are unique and special, everyone with something to offer. I raised three kids myself and our house was the neighborhood hub. My three grandkids are teens now, who I'm very close to. I manage an 80-unit apartment building in Shoreline and live onsite. I love music and reading, including kid stuff, all ages. I don't jump rope anymore, but I can do a mean cat's cradle and anyone who loves to color, I can sit with for hours. I'm all for trips to the park, beach, reading books (out loud or listening to someone practice), nature walks; I'll run into the kiddie pool for a rescue but not willing to swim with the kids. I'm into nutrition but am not militant about yours; willing to cook basic meals but not interested in being a master chef. I do a lot of driving and am accident-free. I don't mind pets (I have a 6-pound chihuahua mix, Penny Lane, who was 4 years old in Dec 2023). Light chores like laundry, dishes etc, but kids are my priority. I look after your kids when you're not there; I don't babysit for WFH parents or someone who wants to watch a movie in another room.

I have experience babysitting children ranging from 18 months up to 13 years, including kids with ADHD and ASD. I'm a pretty calm and easygoing guy, and always make an effort to connect with the kids I care for. I’m a pretty active person and like to get the kids outside when I can. Lava monster is a favorite when we go to the playground. While I personally default to physical activities, I'm prepared to take what the day gives me and have enjoyed many evenings learning about new board games or chatting about Minecraft or Roblox. I am comfortable with pets as well. I often appreciate their company in the evenings, especially if they like to be pet. P.S. I completed my bachelor's in March ’22, and am currently searching for work in the communications field.
