Joey 1 review
$27 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Indianola, WA

Hi - I’m Joey - I'm 61 and full of energy! I am offering child care and household services. Also- special event services/catering, party help. I'm semi-retired, after some amazing careers (from clothing design, baby boutique owner, event planning to catering)- and now I'm focusing on my art and working part time at a few of my interests. I spend a lot of time in nature walking and hiking with my dog Blue- rain or shine. (Also, spend a lot of time at Pickleball!) I love babies and kids- I'm a very patient, helpful, friendly person and love meeting new people. My adult daughters always tell me that I should be a caregiver/babysitter/nanny. I'm happy to help with homework, reading, doing crafts, going for walks etc. My baby/child care started very early- When I was 10 my mom had #5 and basically handed her over. We are very close now still. I can cook, clean, drive to appointments, or do other tasks. I have helped my 81 year mother quite a bit and am comfortable with senior care. I have always had dogs and cats and am happy to take care of those as well! I have current CPR and First Aid certificates. Love to meet in person! Joey

Joey helped us out on very short notice. I really appreciated her flexibly, since I hadn't had time to really make plans. She got along great with our toddler and was warm, attentive, and professional.

Autumn $28 per hour for 1 child

I have been a classroom teacher for eighteen years and I absolutely love my job. Recently, I have stepped away to find more flexibility and time to care for my 10 year old and work on art projects. Most of my experience has been working with communities and schools that serve a high proportion of students learning English as a second language and high rates of free or reduced lunch. Meeting the diverse needs of students has been a joy and a welcomed challenge. Their curiosity is inspiring and I feel incredibly fortunate to guide and teach these children. I believe strongly in integrating subject matter wherever possible and working closely with colleagues to provide the best possible education for each student. As my career has progressed, I have started exploring alternative ways of educating including Land Based Education, student led, subject integrated projects and social/emotional regulation skills based on art, music, and nature therapy. I am seeking a part time position to spend more time with my son and work on developing a science program centered on the Pacific Northwest. My education includes a Masters in Teaching from the University of Washington, a Master of Arts in Zoology from Miami University and a NBC for Middle Childhood Generalist (recently renewed until 2030). I love the outdoors and play based eduction. I have many pets including chickens, cats, a bearded dragon, a dog and two guinea pigs. I love working on projects with kids especially science and art. Thank you for taking the time to read this! I hope to meet you soon!

Salina $25 per hour for 1 child

Hello, I’m Salina , and I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect with families seeking a caring, dependable, and attentive caregiver. As a psychology graduate currently working as a Case Manager in Children’s Crisis Outreach, I support children and families through challenging moments with patience, empathy, and structure—skills that deeply inform how I show up in caregiving roles. My professional background has strengthened my understanding of child development, emotional regulation, and the importance of creating environments where children feel safe, supported, and understood. Alongside my formal training, I’ve built years of hands-on experience caring for children in various settings, allowing me to adapt to different ages, personalities, and family dynamics with ease. What continues to motivate me is the privilege of helping children feel secure while encouraging curiosity, growth, and confidence. I prioritize clear communication, consistency, and age-appropriate engagement, and I’m intentional about creating calm, enriching spaces—whether through creative activities, routine-building, or simply being a steady presence. I would love the opportunity to support your family and contribute positively to your child’s well-being. I’m happy to connect via FaceTime or meet for coffee to discuss your family’s needs and how my experience may be a good fit. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to learning more about your family and exploring how I can best support you. Warmly, Salina

Jo Yee $35 per hour for 1 child

My background includes supporting families with children on consistent routines, balancing the needs of multiple kids, and ensuring safe, engaging days filled with age‑appropriate activities. I’m confident in managing feedings, diaper changes, and maintaining sleep schedules while keeping play areas tidy. I also enjoy preparing healthy meals and supporting household routines, including washing bottles and baby dishes, so parents can relax and enjoy their weekends. Families I’ve worked with value my calm and caring presence, especially during busy moments when infants and toddlers need different kinds of attention at the same time. I’m also comfortable driving around Seattle for outings or errands if needed. I’d love to become a trusted partner in your children’s care and bring a joyful, nurturing energy to your home.
