Hello! My name is Ruth and I am a retired children's librarian and a former lead teacher in an after-school program in West Seattle. I am looking for occasional work providing babysitting or cat sitting services or a nanny position. Is your regular nanny ill? Babysitter cancelled? I can fulfill last-minute requests, too. Highly creative, I have a master's degree in library and information science, specializing in children's services. As a librarian, I provided children's story times and created both craft and STEM programs. I enjoy being with kids and exploring books, art and nature. I have two cats, Susan and Linda, who are litter mates. They began life as feral, abandoned kittens who were terrified of people. They're now four years old and both are big lap cats. I also occasionally care for the cats of two households in West Seattle. I usually spend about a half an hour in the home, talking and playing with the cat, feeding, and cleaning the litter box. Hello! I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old with ages 1 yr up to 12 years old. Additionally, I grew up in a big family taking care of my nieces and nephews since they were babies.
