Booked by 1 family in Seattle, WA

Hello everyone! My name is Sarra, and I live in Greenwood, Seattle. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Public Health Global Health from the University of Washington (Go Huskies!). I’ve been working as a full-time community navigator. A significant part of my job involves interacting with families and kids to create fun activities and events. I am wanting to work as a babysitter a few times a week with families who need help after school, weekends or date night! I’m musically inclined and believe that music has the power to heal any wound. I’ve always loved children and was the most trusted family member to watch over my little cousins. I have experience working with toddlers, young children, and teenagers aged 3 to 17. I’ve also worked with children on the spectrum. In my experience, I engage children in activities they enjoy the most and provide them with ideas to explore. I go out of my way to find the best activities to keep them occupied, such as learning a new language (I’m multilingual and speak French and Arabic), writing, drawing, or painting. The activities can vary depending on the child’s interests and passions. Some children love reading sessions, while others prefer singing, coloring, and drawing with music on, or simply playing board games like puzzles and interactive Lego construction games! Exploring the outdoors is also a fun activity to do if interested! I can help with homework and tutoring in various subjects, including English, Math, STEM subjects, and many others. I’m also a great cook and make all sorts of sandwiches, meals, and quick snacks that your children will love! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send me a message. I’d be more than happy to answer them for you.

$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 4 families in Seattle, WA

Hi! My name is Halima, and I offer childcare services. I recently applied to medical school with the goal of becoming a pediatrician as caring for and supporting children has always been a passion of mine. I’ve been babysitting since I was 14, caring for kids of all ages, from infants to older children. As the oldest sibling in my family, I also gained hands-on experience by helping care for my younger siblings. My responsibilities have included meal prep, feeding, diaper changes, playtime, and keeping children engaged throughout the day. I’m comfortable managing bedtime and nap time and can follow any routine you already have in place. Beyond babysitting, I’ve worked closely with children in educational settings. I’ve taught reading in an elementary school reading program, volunteered as a coach for a running program, taught at weekend school, led kids through fun science experiments, and tutored students in math. These experiences have strengthened my patience, creativity, and ability to understand how different children learn and express themselves. I make sure to arrive on time and prepared, keeping families informed so everything runs smoothly. With each child, I pay attention to what they need and respond in ways that make them feel heard and supported. I take the time to learn their routines, favorite activities, and personalities, and I adjust my approach so they feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. I’m excited to meet your family and would love the opportunity to support you and your little one!

Ana 1 review
Mercer Island
$30 per hour for 1 child

Hi there, I’m Ana from Colombia! I really enjoy being a babysitter. I have over 4 years of experience of childcare from ages 3 months up to 11 years old. I like to take kids outside to parks, museums, and on other adventures especially when the weather is better. My past experiences include being a live-in nanny for a family with two children in Ballard. I provided full time care in this case including cooking, bathing, and playing. Recently for other families my responsibilities have included driving children ages 10 & 12 to and from school, extracurricular activities, medical appointments, and helping parents out with special events. I love animals, I grow up with dogs around. I have two cats, so I’ll be more than happy to work for a family with pets no problem! Fully vaccinated and open to answer any other questions prospective families may have!

Ana is a complete gem! She cared for our twin infants and was everything we could have asked for - caring, responsible, and professional. She took care of bottles, laundry, and took them on daily walks. When I would work from home I would see her engaging them with play, stories and music. Our twins had regular physical therapy for gross motor development and Ana came with me to their appointments, learned all the exercises and did them with the babies regularly. She was a true partner in supporting their development. We feel so lucky that Ana cared for our babies!
