Hi! I’m a caring, patient, and energetic caregiver who genuinely loves working with kids. I currently work at an after-school program, which has helped me build strong skills in staying organized, keeping kids engaged, and handling different situations calmly. I also volunteer on some Sundays at a children’s ministry at church, where I usually work with toddlers—so I’m very comfortable with younger kids as well! I recently moved back to the area and am seeking childcare opportunities. My ample experience with kids in both childcare settings and as a counselor make me uniquely qualified for any childcare position. I worked as a child trauma counselor for children of all ages for five years. This experience provided me with an astute ability to connect emotionally with children, understand their needs, and help them to feel safe. I have a Masters in Social Work and Bachelors in Psychology; and worked as a babysitter and nanny for various families while in school. While studying for my Bachelors, I worked at a daycare for four years. I have a year of experience providing behavioral therapy to children and teens with autism and/or developmental disabilities, in addition to caring for kids with special needs in nannying settings.
