Hello UrbanSitter families (: My name is Ana (: I currently work as a substitute teacher for preschool, elementary, middle school and some special education/inclusion classrooms. I have previously worked with infants and toddlers (0-3) as an early interventionist/child development specialist. So I have lots of experience with children of all ages & developmental levels (: I’ve also worked in summer programs, volunteered in children’s hospitals & have been babysitting/nannying professionally for 10+ years. I have done everything from long term, date nights, classroom pods, play dates, school or practice pickups, overnights & weekends. Special skills include arts & crafts, sports, games, hiking, homework help, dancing & singing (warning: not that great at the singing part) LOVE dogs, open to cats & other pets. As for availability, Being a substitute I don’t always know my exact location or end time. For the most part it’s M-F, end times vary from 2:45pm to 4pm. Depending on the distance from the school to home, I wouldn’t be able to give exact weekday evening availability. Over the years, I have worked with children of many different ages in both daycare and educational settings. I previously worked at the daycare center at RefugeeOne, where I cared for groups of children ages 1–11. I also volunteered as a tutor for middle school students, helping with English, math, and science homework. In addition, I spent two months doing service work at a daycare center in San Jose, Costa Rica, and worked for about three years in the after-school program at Lycee Francais de Chicago (French school) with children ages 3–5. Hello, my name is Kylee, and I received my B. A. in Digital and Video Film Production from Maryount California University in Palos Verdes. I love and have so much fun interacting with children. They have a such a way of looking at the world and I try to always remember seeing the world through their eyes from time to time. My mom spent many years teaching dance and drama at an elementary school which I would help facilitate by watching and playing with the kids. I have babysat since I was 16 mostly between the ages of 5 months to 6 years old. I also was actively working in the nursery at my church since I was 12. Children are amazing and can teach as much as they need to learn. I would really enjoy any opportunity to continue to learn and work with the little one's to help parent's out. Another fun job I have is working as a princess, face painter, and balloon twister. It definitely keeps my imagination sharp which is helpful when it comes to play time with toddlers and elementary age children. My mom was a single parent so I know how hard it can be.
