I have a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice studies from San Francisco State University, and I am planning to go back to school to obtain a master's degree sometime in the next few years. I am up-to-date on all my vaccinations and boosters (including COVID-19), and I am trained in CPR/AED/First Aid, however my certification has lapsed. While in college, I took three courses specifically related to child and adolescent psychology and development. I began babysitting when I was 12 years old, and have worked with children of various ages over the years (newborns to preteens) as a babysitter, nanny, and volunteer camp counselor. When weather permits, I like to take the kids outside, for walks or to play at the park. However, I am just as happy staying inside, playing games, doing arts and crafts, or reading to the kids. I can also speak conversational Spanish. In my spare time, I like to read, bake, and make jewelry. Regarding COVID-19: I am happy to provide proof of full vaccination, including booster shots. I ask that all household members of families that I work with receive the vaccine and boosters when possible, unless medically unable. I expect mutual transparency; I cannot babysit when someone in the household is sick and/or has been exposed to COVID-19 and expect to be told as soon as possible so that the job can be canceled. Likewise, I will inform all families if I or someone in my household is sick and/or has been exposed to COVID-19 and will cancel the job with as much notice as possible.
