I have a Master of Science degree in Education with a Concentration in Literacy and Reading. I am a single parent to a high schooler and a shih tzu. My Professional Background: Teaching experience: I started out my career as an educator as a Child Development Center Assistant then took on the role of an Independence Facilitator. I worked my way up to becoming a teacher while taking Child Development courses, and completing my master's degree as well as a Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Specialized experience: I have had the privilege to work as a behavioral therapist (trained in ABA) for five years for private non-profit organizations. Foster care: I proudly served as a foster parent to children with special needs for eight years. My caregiving philosophy: I love being a teacher! It is my absolute pleasure watching young children grow, learn, and meet their developmental milestones. Inside the home, I bring the same organization, loving structure, and accountability that I use in my classroom.
