Intro: Hi! Here are small tidbits about me! I'm a full-time student looking for part-time, weekend jobs to pay off my tuition. I speak both English and Spanish, the latter only at an advanced level. I grew up in San Diego and go back during the breaks. My hobbies include anything arts and craft related and tennis. Although I tend to be less outspoken as an introvert, I believe my good-naturedness finds a way to shine through. I value authenticity, integrity, and doing everything to the best of my ability! Experience: At the moment, I've listed everything as "no experience" because I have none in a formal setting. However, I have 3 younger sisters who I helped raise. Raised by a single mom, a lot of my life has revolved around taking care of them. With the youngest being 9 years younger than me, I'm familiar, albeit rusty, with infant and toddler care, but I'm well experienced with taking care of elementary school children to pre-teens. Curly haircare ( type 3) and homework help make up my most recent skills related to childcare. Regarding pets and taking care of elders, I have no experience there, but I'm 100% willing to learn.

I’m Sophia 🌿 I have twenty years of experience working with children in a variety of settings—supporting kids on the autism spectrum (ages 2–18), working as a summer camp counselor teaching kayaking, and spending summers working at a beach camp in Santa Monica with kids ages 3–13. As well as an away camp working with kids of all ages for a summer when I was 18. I’ve also assisted in a Montessori classroom for ages 3–6 and have two sweet nephews (Ray Ray, 12, and Theo, 8) whom I adore and have helped care for regularly. I have been babysitting for different families since I was 12 years old. I studied psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I developed a deep love for the outdoors. Hi! I am an LA transplant from the Washington, DC area. I have years of experience working with children of busy corporate and government employees during the summers when school is out. I'm a big kid myself--I love video games and outdoor activities! I am a former cheerleader and gymnast and love playing sports with little ones. One of my first jobs was at a sports complex where I taught children from 18 months-5 years old motor skills playing soccer! Working with children is a joy for me. I also have lots of experience with cats, bigger dogs, and turtles! (Fun fact: I grew up with a turtle that is now 25 years old) I am open to the opportunity to care for alternative pets as well.
