After working as a nanny for four years during and after my undergrad at UCSD, I moved back home to the Bay Area and began employment at a specialized school for children on the with profound autism. My Human Development degree gave me a strong foundation in child development theories, while my work experience has given me a wealth of behavioral management strategies. Both allow me to create the most supportive and caring environment I can for the children I have the pleasure to care for. I am registered with Trustline and CPR/First Aid certified.

I enjoy interacting and nurturing children’s growth and development because they are filled with curiosity, joy, wonder, love, and appreciation for learning from their trusted caregivers about the world. I am filled with gratitude for the 60+ children I built relationships with at Ellis Early Learning and I learned that I do love caring for children and supporting their growth. I am amazed at children’s brilliance and how I can support their physical and emotional development with each day. What the educator does in teaching is to make it possible for the students to become themselves. - Paulo Freire On a formal note, I most recently received my teacher certification from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care for preschool and infants/toddlers along with other certifications: First Aid/CPR, Trauma and Resilience for Early Childhood Educators, and Early Childhood and Care Essentials. I worked in an Early Childhood Education apprenticeship in Boston, where I was placed at Ellis Early Learning for 8 months and I aced Child Growth and Development at Urban College of Boston. Hello! I’m Amina, and I have several years of babysitting experience with kids of all ages. As a caregiver, I would describe myself as nurturing, patient, and kind.
