Hello! I’m a kind, calm, reliable, and punctual teacher with a true passion for working with children. I have extensive experience caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children, and I bring both warmth and professionalism to every family I support. I’m also regularly booked through BPN, where I have ongoing relationships with many families. Select BPN Testimonials: 1. “Hello BPN Community - I would like to recommend Sarah who is available as an evening / weekend babysitter! We’ve had a wonderful experience with Sarah. She is incredibly engaging with our 3 year old, always coming prepared with age-appropriate activities, books, and creative ways to keep her interested. She also moves comfortably between caring for our preschooler and infant daughters, handling the transitions with ease. Her calm, steady presence makes our whole household feel more relaxed when Sarah is around. She communicates clearly with us, while she's at home with us and in between sessions if there are any logistics to align on. Most importantly, she’s been very reliable—showing up on time and ready to jump in every single visit. We’re grateful to have her support and would highly recommend her to any family looking for a thoughtful, capable, and trustworthy babysitter during evenings and weekends.” 2. “We'd love to recommend our babysitter Sarah. What we appreciate most is that Sarah is an experienced educator. She brings games and thoughtful, educational activities that keep our child engaged, learning, and having fun.” Education & Experience I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Development. Sarah is clearly a teacher - she brought a full bag of tricks (books, puzzles) and my toddler listened to her (dinner, bedtime routine) in a way that he never does with us! She was professional and kind and cared enough to debrief with us when the night ended.

Minnie 2 reviews
$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in Oakland, CA

Away from the Bay until May 27th! I'll be back and available to book again on 5/27/2026. My CV: sites.google.com/view/minervalerner/cv I'm passionate about childcare and education, and have worked in daycare, preschool, and elementary school and summer camp settings. I've taught and provided care for children ages 2-10; I've also been involved with animals since childhood as a city shelter volunteer and foster caregiver for both cats and dogs. Most recently I've been trained through In-Home Social Services (IHSS) as a live-in caregiver for an elderly adult, assisting in both medical care and daily home maintenance tasks. I'm thoroughly organized (a total neat freak!) and ready to assume a supporting role (having worked as an assistant teacher/caregiver more often than in leading positions). Your little ones' safety and well-being are my top priorities, second only to your own peace of mind – I know how hard it can be to juggle household needs, and I'll take on whatever tasks necessary with enthusiasm!

Minnie was amazing!

I really enjoy spending time with kids and keeping them busy with fun, creative activities. I like playing games, doing arts and crafts, and painting. I speak Ukrainian and Russian fluently, and I also speak intermediate English.

I highly recommend Nataliya! She spent quality time painting and doing puzzles with our child, took them to the library, and made sure they were well-fed and engaged throughout the day. Nataliya was warm, attentive, and caring, and we would happily have her babysit for us again.

Shae 1 review
$24 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Oakland, CA

Hi! I'm Shae and I am a flight attendant based in San Francisco, originally from Iowa. While I am new to UrbanSitter, I am not new to providing child care. I began babysitting for family friends and families around my neighborhood when I was 13 years old. My mother also ran an in-home daycare business for most of my younger life and I always loved getting home from school and running over to help her care for the infants/toddlers. Being a flight attendant is my full time job but I am looking to cut back on flying all around the world and spend more time at home. My job is flexible and allows me to have a lot of availability. I am a very crafty person. In my free time I love to do puzzles, make things out of clay, sew clothing and household goods, and any other crafts that may peak my interest. I love to entertain children with hands on crafts. At previous jobs I also really enjoyed taking the children on daily outings like walks to the park, hiking, or to a museum or the library. I currently live in Oakland and am happy to travel to jobs nearby in the city or surrounding areas. I previously lived in North Beach so I am familiar with areas in the city as well as the east bay. My flight attendant training lends well to caring for children as I have become accustomed to diffusing meltdowns and handling stressful situations. I have also dealt with a handful of serious medical events through my job and am trained in CPR (both for infants and adults), how to use an AED, choking, seizures, and other first aid. Also, I have people close to me who are autistic so I am well equipped with the tools needed to care for someone on the spectrum. I am looking forward to being an instrumental part of caring for you child. If you think we would be a good fit, please reach out. I look forward to hearing from you!

Shae is a wonderful sitter. Very warm and kind and my toddler girls took to her instantly. Played with them at the park for a very long time. Definitely recommend her!
