Hello! My name is Corinne and I'm a student at CCSF studying to become a nurse. I've lived in San Francisco for three years and enjoy biking, hiking and knitting in my free time. I've been babysitting since I was 14 years old, and have extensive experience with infants, toddlers, and school-age children, in groups or individually. My responsibilities have included leading online schoolwork during the pandemic, and I'm comfortable tutoring and helping with homework. I grew up with 3 sisters and 2 brothers and we had dogs and cats. I played sports and first babysat at the age of 13. I love the beach and body surfing, I love to sing to the little ones and teach them songs, I like to have fun reading books, eating food, playing with just about anything (just a glass of ice water is entertainment for 30 minutes with a 15 month old-- yes, ice.. first it's solid and then magic-it disappears). I love to problem solve... or use the tool of distraction. And I do believe that "to every task that must be done there is an element of fun". I work part-time at the Ferry Building Book Passage and have been there for two and a half years, it's a great environment and I enjoy working with the public. There a lot of kids who come in on the weekends and I have fun getting to know them and what they like to read. I have been taking care of a year and a half boy for spurts this past year and it's been so much fun. We would go to the Main Library storytime for an outting and it was a real treasure. It is such a pleasure to work with kids, as they are so much in to the moment.
