I’ve volunteered in the past at a rural elementary school in Colombia helping children with class activities, assessment support, classroom preparation and behavior management. At university I did tutoring for 1st semester students in French and English. I was in charge of preparing a 1 hour class with activities and quizzes. That was actually fun, I felt like a real teacher. I was also part of the dance club back in high school and college, I love dancing!! My responsibilities have included: •Driving the kids to school, museums or playgrounds. •Pick up and drop off from/to school. •Making lunch or dinner for children. •Doing different activities like crafts, painting, and dancing. I Love doing art! And of course playing children’s favorite games or sports. •Help with homework occasionally. •Tidying up the children's room or playrooms. I’m very good at organizing. I adore kids and have over 10 years of childcare experience across nannying, daycare, mentoring youth in foster care, and as a Crisis Counselor at a mental health program for teens. I truly enjoy working with any age group, with the majority of my experience being with ages 2-17. My favorite thing about working with younger kids is getting to witness their imagination and creativity, and for older kids, I love to witness them come into their true identity as they find their place in the world. However, I do value time outdoors, limited screen time, and self-directed play. In addition to childcare, I also have extensive experience caring for pets, including cats and dogs, and can hold other tasks such as household chores, errands, transportation, meal prep, homework help, and organization as needed. I taught swim lessons to young kids ages 2-16. I have 2 years worth of instructional aide experience at a few different elementary schools. I also have lots of babysitting experience working with children ages 1-10. I love working with kids because they bring so much joy to the environment, I am more than happy to watch your kids on a date night for parents or just any occasion you have planned/need to get out of the house! I am very much an animal person, I love cats, dogs, turtles, most likely any kind of animal I love!
