Hello, my name is Crystal. I’m 31 years old and earned my B.A. in Child Development and Family Studies from CSULB in 2018. I recently received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and am excited to continue growing in the field of education. I have always had a passion for working with children and began babysitting at 15 years old, caring for my younger sibling and cousins. Throughout high school, I volunteered in after-school programs where I worked with elementary-aged children, helping them complete homework and build strong study skills. After graduating, I worked as a program leader, managing a class of about 20 children. My responsibilities included planning engaging activities, ensuring safety, serving snacks, collaborating with families and staff, and creating a fun, nurturing, and structured environment. During COVID, I worked as a full-time nanny for multiple families until 2023. Since January 2023, I have been working as a substitute teacher while continuing my education.
