I began working with children in as an intern at Sunset Elementary School in San Francisco, where I interned until I got promoted later that year. After completing my internship, I joined Bay Area Community Resources working with students at Sunset Elementary through their before school and afterschool programs. Right now I currently work as a second grade afterschool teacher. I'm responsible for supervising students, leading activities, conflict resolution, and creating a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. I also help run the morning care program at our elementary school, where I supervise children from K through 5th. I'm also majoring in Childhood Development Administration at City College of San Francisco. I'm really into soccer, music, art, and writing. I love getting my hands dirty with arts and crafts, whether it’s painting, drawing, or just finding something fun that the kids enjoy doing. I'd say I'm pretty chill, patient, and entertaining. I like being someone kids can have fun with and feel comfortable around, but I also know when to set boundaries and routines to make sure that they’re safe and that things are organized. Working with kids has honestly been one of the most rewarding experiences I've had in my career. I’ve really enjoy getting to know each of my kids and watching them grow over time. I have 10+ years of experience with ages 4 months and up. I have 7 yrs of experience working with children with Downs Syndrome as well.
