Hi! My name’s Izzy and this is my first time using an app to be a caregiver! I am a Registered Nurse with Swedish Medical and have been nursing for over 5 years. I work primarily with the geriatric population and am ACLS/CPR certified, but completed a semester of pediatric nursing and did have my PALS certification (now expired). Growing up I babysat intermittently for over a decade (2 y.o. to 12 y.o.), ran summer camps through my local church (school age children), and nannied (3 y.o. and 6 y.o.) for two summers. I am comfortable around all animals and have always owned a dog, am knowledgeable in caring for them, as well as administering medications to them if needed. I was recently thinking of a way to assist parents (single parents), as a mom whose had both married and single years. Then, I came across UrbanSitters. I have four children, who are now all adults. For sure, there were those who assisted me during the single years with my children, when they were little, and I would like to do the same for other parents in return. Sometimes parents need a little assistance with running errands, pick-ups, of just have a sitter sit some hours so parents can take a breather and free up more time for family time. I have an associates degree in medical administration and finishing up a bachelor degree in criminal justice. I have worked in the business, medical and judicial settings, pretty much since graduating high school. Children are precious gifts and are naturally funny at times, looking to explore their new world safely. I loved taking care of my own children, as well as relatives and friends children. I love reading, music, movies, and the outdoors. My availability is pretty flexible but it changes.
