Mari 1 review
$22 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Washington, DC

Hello! My name is Mari and I am graduating from American University this May. I am 22 years old and am originally from York, PA but live full-time in D.C. I currently work for an environmental non-profit as an intern, and am looking for summer opportunities with families here in the DMV. I have an extensive history of service-oriented positions. I formally used a nannying app called QuadJobs in which I booked and have working relationships with multiple families (unfortunately the app has since shut down). I am the oldest sister in my household as well as having an older brother, so I am aware of sibling relationships and responsibility. I am diligent and committed, having worked for Starbucks for 3 years while being a full-time student with multiple other jobs and commitments. I also am an equestrian-- I have extensive history with horses and other animals, making me very capable of caring for any sort of family pet! I have my own car here, meaning I am flexible with travel as well as quick with transportation needs. After my graduation in May, I plan on staying within the District to apply to jobs in the environmental sector before attending graduate school after a year or so. Happy to meet you!

Mari was punctual, professional, conscientious, and our girls loved her. We can't wait to have her back!

Reve $25 per hour for 1 child

Hello! I'm delighted to share more about my background and why I am dedicated to providing excellent care for your family. My experience spans various age groups and needs, built on a foundation of professional involvement and personal responsibility. • Toddler Care: I am actively involved in my church’s family ministry, where I regularly watch and engage with toddlers during service. This hands-on, group setting has sharpened my skills in managing routines, addressing immediate needs, and facilitating positive, safe play. • Individual Babysitting: I have also built experience by caring for the children of my friends, which has given me insight into respecting individual family routines and providing customized care in a home environment. I'm comfortable with various age ranges, from infants to school-aged children. • Pets: I am a loving pet owner myself and am comfortable caring for dogs (walking, feeding) ensuring their needs and routines are met.

Ashley $25 per hour for 1 child

I’m an educator who currently works at a PreK–12 school and have experience working with children and teens of different ages and personalities. I’m patient, dependable, attentive, and love making sure kids are safe while still having fun! Depending on what your kiddos enjoy, I’m always down for arts and crafts, baking, board games, movie nights, trips to the park, library outings, or coming up with a fun activity at home. I’m also happy to help with homework, meals, bedtime routines, and transportation. I have my own reliable car and am comfortable with school pickups/drop-offs and getting kids to activities. I’m also happy to help around the house with laundry, dishes, tidying up, and light cleaning. I’m flexible and happy to work with whatever routines make things easiest for your family.

Sergio $22 per hour for 1 child

Hey Prospective Family I am Sergio; I am a Senior at George Mason University, currently studying to become an elementary teacher, and while I study would love the opportunity to look after your children. I am heading into my student teaching in the spring. I moved from Florida where I worked for a family for just over 3 years, as their Au Pair and then became their full time nanny. Have seen the kid I look after go from Elementary all the way to Middle school. My last job was working for a family during the week, looking after 2 girls aged 7 and 10. They are like a family to me and I still keep in contact them. I have over 10 years of experience working with children, from personal babysitting to working at my local church's children's ministry and daycare. Most recently, working for a family as an Au Pair for 3 years now, and then became their nanny full time while studying full time as well. I do homework, do school projects, and cook meals, as some of my duties. I don’t mind taking care of cats and walking a dog. I like working with kids because I've always thought working with children is essential; you are formulating minds, minds that will go on to do incredible things. In my spare time, I like to read. I go to a coffee shop and do some college work or read. I love going to museums, whether history or art. I love being in the kitchen; I like cooking and trying new recipes but prefer baking more. My skills include good with homework, excellent driving record, and caring.
