Hi - My name is Kyra! I am an aunt of 12 and have been a built in babysitter for the past six years. I am offering babysitting for ages 2 and up, animal care, as well as, house-sitting. Excluding family, I have been babysitting for a little over 2 years. My responsibilities have included driving to and from school, extracurricular activities, and tutoring. I love entertaining the littles with arts & crafts as well as any physical activities they enjoy or are recommended by parents. When babysitting school-age kids, I have found being younger has encouraged bonding. We always have fun, but you can still count on me to maintain the household rules. I can still have fun playing dress up, dolls or dinosaurs, as well as any sport activities! I am definitely a creative and outdoorsy person, so I try to avoid screens and inspire children’s imagination, artistic and/or athletic skills.

I have a combined twenty years experience in education and care. I have provided services for infant, pre-k, elementary school, middle and high school, adult learners and elderly. Also, I have experience providing services and care to those in memory care facilities. Additionally, I am an avid animal lover and activist (I have two animal babies of my own). I have experience caring for large and small breed dogs, cats, non exotic birds, and ferrets.

I am a 4th year Optometry Student and Nova Southeastern University. I have some experience children more so from a clinical optometry and vision therapy standpoint. I believe this to be a unique skill set that allows me to more observant of your child. I am CPR certified as it is required for my profession. I have five younger cousins that I’ve had the privilege to watch and help take care over the years. I have a little bit of experience as a caretaker as I was briefly my grandmother’s caretaker up until her passing. My boyfriend and I have a dog so I’m comfortable taking care and being around them. I believe I would describe myself as dedicated and passionate. With children, I can be very fun but I also know when it is necessary to be serious.

I am an accomplished single mother with of one eighteen year old son. My education includes an A.A and Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management. I am forty-three years old and I have cared for children since my early teen years. My experience also includes making sure that children are comfort, safe, and loved. I have previous CPR training and I am willing to gain an updated certification. I understand that it takes patience to care for children and I believe that my experience of raising my son on my own has imparted a gracious amount of patience. It is important to me to create an environment and atmosphere where children are adored, but also foster structure. I love to plan ways for children to learn early skills to help grow their development. I am certain that my personal parenthood and previous experiences will afford me to offer great childcare services.
