I am from Geneva, and I am passionate about working with children and helping them learn and grow. My friends and family would describe me as caring, patient, responsible, and hardworking. I enjoy creating positive and supportive environments where children feel safe, encouraged, and included.
I am currently attending Bradley University, where I am studying Elementary Education with endorsements in Special Education and ESL (English as a Second Language). Through both my education and hands-on experience, I have developed strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, along with a passion for supporting children of all abilities and backgrounds.
I have over 5 years of experience babysitting children from kindergarten through 6th grade, providing a safe, caring, and engaging environment while supporting daily routines, homework help, meals, and recreational activities. I also worked for 2 years at a summer camp with 1st–3rd grade students, where I supervised group activities, encouraged teamwork, and helped create a fun and positive experience for campers.
In addition, I completed 1 year of an elementary teaching internship as a teacher assistant in a local 3rd grade classroom. In this role, I supported the classroom teacher, assisted students with assignments and learning activities, helped manage classroom routines, and gained hands-on experience working in an educational setting.
I also have 2 years of volunteer experience with children with special needs through the Fox Valley Special Recreation Association, assisting with softball, pickleball, bowling, and game nights for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Additionally, I have 1 year of experience babysitting a 2nd grade child with special needs, where I provided individualized care, patience, support, and assistance with daily activities. These experiences have strengthened my communication, leadership, adaptability, and caregiving skills while allowing me to build meaningful relationships with children and families.
