Hi! My name is Lauren, and I have a Master’s degree in Psychological Science from Tulane University. I recently moved to Chicago in June, and I’m currently pursuing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with the goal of working with children and families. My education has given me a strong understanding of child development, emotional well-being, and creating supportive, engaging environments for kids of all ages.
I’ve worked with children in a variety of settings, including as a STEM Lab Leader and Literacy Tutor at GiGi’s Playhouse, where I support children with diverse learning and developmental needs. I’ve also provided one-on-one childcare for children with special needs, tailoring activities to each child’s strengths and interests while ensuring they feel safe, understood, and encouraged.
Beyond my professional experience, I’ve volunteered with organizations that support children through education, mentorship, and enrichment programs. Families describe me as dependable, patient, organized, and genuinely caring. I love planning fun, screen-free activities like crafts, games, reading, outdoor play, and creative projects while always prioritizing each child’s safety and well-being.
I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your child, and I strive to create a positive, nurturing environment where children can have fun, learn, and feel comfortable. I look forward to getting to know your family!
“Lauren was wonderful! Our girls really enjoyed spending time with her. She was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and engaging. She even brought Halloween houses for the girls to paint, along with all the supplies, which was such a nice touch! We really appreciated the extra effort she put into making their time together fun and memorable. We had a great experience with Lauren and would absolutely love to have her babysit our girls again!”
