Hello, I’m Vera a very caring grandmother who continues to care for children and 4 legged pets. I am now a family friend after caring (nannied) a 15 yr old girl & a 9 yr old boy, cared for boy since he was 3 months old & is presently in 4th grade. He considers me his grandmother. He spends overnighters on weekends because he misses me. I also work on a doggie sitting service when friends and neighbors need a pet sitter. Whether it’s to step out and run to get errands done, dinner with a friend, a date night with your spouse, you name it. I’m here to help! I have experience with kids as long as I can remember. Babysitting was second nature to us. Migrating from Guatemala , my mother’s specialty was babysitting but primarily teaching . However struggles came in the way , the language barrier being one of them provided me with my first job at 8 years old as a translator . . I not only was “working” but it served me as it helped me practice my second language but most importantly I found much meaning and value in my mothers work...I loved going, I was able to make friends with their kids , build relationships and left inspired . Along the way, I was blessed with having nephews and nieces. Nine now! Growing up as a tight-knit family we’re always around to help each other out.
