Hi! I’m Melissa, a 25-year-old living in Somerville, MA. I grew up in Rhode Island, went to college in upstate New York, and moved to Somerville for grad school before settling into my 9 – 5 in downtown Boston doing Data Analytics. I’ve been babysitting for nearly 10 years, caring for kids of all ages, from infants to teens, and have also spent the past 7 years tutoring math and science. I genuinely love working with children, whether that means helping with homework, getting active outdoors, or snuggling up for a movie. My friends describe me as fun, lively, patient, reliable, and outgoing. I played soccer in college and enjoy running, biking, and staying active, but I’m just as happy to get creative with crafts or work through a tough math problem. Hi caregivers! My name is Dylan, and I’m currently looking for one-time jobs since I’m currently in graduate school! I am currently pursuing my Masters in Speech Language Pathology at Emerson College. I previously attended the University of Connecticut where I studied Communication Sciences and American Sign Language. My experience working with children started in 2022. In the summer of 2022, my first job was at a summer camp for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children. It was an overnight camp where I also taught archery. Following that experience, I decided to pursue more experiences in childcare and was hired at an early care and education center that I worked at part time while at UConn. During winter and summer breaks I often babysat and dogsat for many families. I also have experience working at a children’s fitness club within the gym I used to go to in my hometown. My most recent experiences have been working with children 3-17 years old as a Teacher of the Deaf during the 2[removed] school year. So far, as a graduate student clinician I’ve worked with infants, toddlers and school-age children. I do not have much experience with seniors, however, my first job was working as a waiter at a retirement home!
