Hi! I’m Adelaide, a senior majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Belmont University. Originally from Quincy, IL, I grew up as the oldest of four sisters, and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. Alongside babysitting for other families, I’ve developed a strong background in childcare and responsibility from a young age. In addition to my family experience, I worked as a caregiver for two years during my sophomore and junior years, gaining hands-on experience caring for individuals across a wide age range. This work has deepened my understanding and appreciation of compassionate, attentive care for people of all backgrounds and needs.

Hi, I'm Rachel! I’m a warm, caring, and dependable person who genuinely loves taking care of people and animals and finds being of service deeply rewarding. Over the years, I’ve babysat for friends, family, and neighbors as needed, primarily caring for children ages 1–13. I also have two nephews who I’ve helped care for since they were born, including living with my sister and her family for months at a time to help with childcare and supporting them during extended visits. I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and creating an environment where they feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves. As an artist and writer, I love encouraging creativity and imagination, whether we’re making something, playing games, telling stories, singing, dancing, getting outside, or finding other ways to be active and have fun. I prefer being actively engaged with the kids I’m caring for rather than relying on screens to keep them occupied, while also taking my cues from each child’s personality, interests, and energy. I also helped care for my grandmother for several years after she developed dementia. I assisted with meals, cleaning, personal hygiene, and everyday needs, but just as importantly, I spent time with her, kept her company, and helped her feel safe and comfortable. That experience taught me a great deal about patience, compassion, and preserving someone’s dignity while supporting them through a vulnerable stage of life. In recent years, I’ve also gained extensive experience caring for pets—particularly dogs—through pet sitting while traveling. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and maintaining their normal routines while their people are away. My personality is naturally warm, loving, optimistic, and encouraging. Emotional regulation is important to me, and I bring a calm, grounded presence to the people and animals in my care. I’m attentive to individual needs, respectful of healthy boundaries, and understand how important it is for families to have a caregiver they can trust to respect their routines, communicate openly, and care for their family with the same thoughtfulness they would want to provide themselves. I’m also happy to jump in wherever I’m needed, whether that means cooking, running errands, cleaning, laundry, organizing, or helping keep the household running smoothly. I love being someone others can depend on—someone who notices what needs doing, pitches in, and makes life a little easier!

I am in New York City for the summer in the middle of my MSW program at Simmons University.
