Ashley $25 per hour for 1 child

Hi, I’m Ashley! I’m a scientist by day and babysitter by night! Alongside my passion for science is my love for children. Growing up with many younger siblings (as the eldest), I’ve had the privilege of helping care for them from a young age. I’ve also tutored young children (ages 3+) at Kumon here in Baltimore, where I gained experience with creative play and learning. Additionally, I have a master’s degree in biology and come from parents who have a longstanding career in early childhood education. I’m pediatric CPR and First-Aid certified, reliable, patient, compassionate, and most of all filled to the brim with positive energy. Whether it’s engaging in creative play, learning, homework assistance, or additional household daily tasks, I’m here to make a positive difference and help make being a parent a teeny bit easier. Spending time with children brings me positive energy, and it’s the perfect balance to my life as a scientist. I look forward to getting to know you and caring for your little ones.

Samantha $20 per hour for 1 child

Hi there! I am a registered nurse with over 5 years of experience, including a strong background in infant care. Before nursing, I spent more than 3 years as a daycare teacher, primarily working with infants ages 8 weeks to 1 year, and frequently assisting in classrooms with children ages 3-5. I was well known in the daycare center for Craft Days with Ms. Sam. I am calm, attentive, and genuinely love supporting children's growth and routines, while always prioritizing safety, comfort and fun!

Abigail $17 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Abigail, and I am a recently moved to Baltimore to start my Masters of Music program at Johns Hopkins University. I am so excited to be in Baltimore to continue my studies, and also get to know a new city! For the past year, I worked as a music teacher at a public elementary school (PreK-5th grade) in North Philadelphia. I love working with and teaching children, and one of the reasons that I want to nanny while in school is so that I can continue building my skills in working with children. I was often a babysitter growing up, but it's been a few years so nannying would be a fresh experience for me! Additionally, I have four years of housekeeping experience from previous employment at a hotel, and also really enjoy baking/cooking, so I would be happy to help with some of these tasks if needed. Before living in Philadelphia, I was in Allentown, PA for my undergraduate degree at Muhlenberg College, where I studied Music, Theatre, and Psychology with an emphasis in child development. Outside of my work and studies, I really enjoy exploring new places, attending performances, and cooking/trying out new recipes. Because of my teaching experiences, I am very open to trying new things, and would be excited to try out different hobbies, games, and other activities with the children I may nanny for.

$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 28 families in Brooklyn, MD

Hello parents! My name is Annie- a native of the D.C. area, I live in Baltimore, have family in Silver Spring, and commute to NW D.C. so I’m happy to pick up jobs anywhere in the area! What I bring to the table: •Nearly 20 years of experience with childcare and household management for preschool-to-high school aged kids and families. I was with my previous family for 14 years and have been with my current family since 2019. •Intuitive and fast thinking- I am able to quickly troubleshoot situations and navigate decisions without handholding. Fixing problems before they become problems. •Almost spotless driving record (one camera ticket in the last few years), plus a squeaky clean criminal record. I am very comfortable driving, navigating rush hour, parallel parking, etc. I have my own transportation. •Funny, down to earth, and strong in my convictions- would like to work with a family on the same wavelength. •I love to cook and am familiar with many different cuisines. Comfortable in kosher, vegetarian/vegan, and gluten-free/allergy kitchens. •Happy to work with families and kids of all types! LGBTQ+, polyam, gnc, families and kids welcome. The downsides: •I am only available for occasional or as-needed work. I currently work part-time with a rolling schedule so I have decent availability but cannot commit to a set schedule. •I am a night owl and prefer to work afternoons and evenings. Late nights are not a problem. •Funny, down to earth, and strong in my convictions- so I’m unfortunately not willing to work with folks whose values don’t match my own :) When not corralling kids, I am in the garden (or planning next year’s garden), elbow deep in dyeing yarn, at my weaving loom with a podcast on, or watching local music. Catch me at your local maker’s market 🧶 Hope to her from you soon!

“Arrived on time. Our toddler immediately enjoyed playing with Annie. Great experience for parents and child.”
