I am a 48 year old married individual who recently relocated to DC with my husband and dog! I am a patient advocate and speaker and I’m currently going back to school to get another degree — MPH in healthcare leadership. I love kids and have been around children of all ages my whole life. My husband have been like second parents to our godkids since before they were born. Because we were unable to have kids we have become the go to sitters for many friends and family members. As for the aging population — I am comfortable with them as well. My mom is 81 years old and I have travelled all over the world with her and help her in a variety of ways. I worked as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) in a hospital with a pediatrics ward. I would work with kids often, also volunteering at a local middle school to teach kids about home alone safety. I am certified in BLS, CPR, and First Aid along with Stop the Bleed. I had to help kids through tough times and hard news, along with celebrating the small victories. I also worked with newborns at our maternity ward.

Hi! I'm Lisa. I'm a dedicated, energetic, and personable mom of four who has been raising my family for the past 11 years - my children are 4, 6, 9 and 11. As the third oldest of eight, I have a lifetime of experience with babysitting, bonding with, and helping children. I don't shy away from household work, either! I am looking to get back into the workforce in a capacity that both suits my own schedule and allows me to highlight my strengths.
