I worked as a preschool teacher at a nature-based school in college, spent the pandemic as a special education substitute teacher for 1st–5th grade, was the activities coordinator of a nature center, and have been a counselor at a several different types of camps. Even though my current career brought me in a different direction, I’m comfortable with kids of all ages and animals of all sizes. I pride myself on bring a calm, attentive, and fun approach to caregiving and education. I’m CPR and first aid certified and happy to provide references from both families and school settings. I worked as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) in a hospital with a pediatrics ward. I would work with kids often, also volunteering at a local middle school to teach kids about home alone safety. I am certified in BLS, CPR, and First Aid along with Stop the Bleed. I had to help kids through tough times and hard news, along with celebrating the small victories. I also worked with newborns at our maternity ward.

Hi! My name is Carmen and I am a sophomore at Georgetown University studying business! I have been babysitting my moms friends kids since I was little and have always loved working with kids. I have experience volunteering at an orphanage where I visit once a week and work mostly with babies 0-3 years old.
