Hello!! I retired early after 38 years of teaching. I received Elementary Education as well special education degrees from Luther College in Decorah, IA. I later received my Early Child Special Education degree from Mankato State University and my Graduate Degree from St Mary's University. I am presently driving two hours to care for my 2 year old granddaughter in Hopkins, Mn. I typically watch her two weeks each month, and rotate with a couple others. My schedule varies. I typically do not watch her on Tuesdays or weekends. She truly has been a blessing in our lives. Hello, my name is Thomas l. About me, I’m somewhat of an introvert. I keep to myself, I don’t indulge in too much social interaction (unless it’s with the right person/people that is), I’m just a homebody nowadays. Although I do enjoy outdoors from time to time. Many years ago in my youth, I have worked at a bunch of daycare settings before. I assist teachers into setting up activities for the kids, prepare nap times, keep a close watch on them while they play on playgrounds, go on field trips, and aid the kids with their daily tasks assigned by their teachers. as for pets, I have pets in the past and currently. used to have a dog, few rabbits, goldfishes, and three cats. Two whom are my grandmother’s pet from Phoenix, Arizona. She passed away two years ago. So her two male cats are in my family’s care. So taking care of house pets could be right up my alley. Also, if you need your house clean, I could be up for the task. I could bring my supplies from home or if you had some of your own, and I’ll get right to it. Hi! I am currently a psychology student in college, passionate, and patient about learning and working with children. I look forward to growing alongside them, playing, engaging, and fostering their development as I know its so important to give children quality time. I am also volunteering as a Reading Partners Tutor through a work-study program, where I am beginning to gain valuable experience using a structured curriculum to teach young children essential literacy skills. I do not have much experience with children, I am still developing my skills and have much to learn, I am eager and committed to doing my best to help children thrive and accommodate the needs and schedules of their guardians.
