Hi! My name is McKenzie, and I'm 19-year-old caregiver based in Clayton, NC. I have over 5 years of experience working with children, including for the past two years working part-time at a daycare, where most of my time was spent caring for 6 week olds to 1 year olds. I have found the infants and ones are my favorite age to care for. Before that, I volunteered at the same daycare for 3 years and worked with children from infants to 5 years old, gaining hands on experience with children of different ages. I am CPR and First Aid certified for pediatric and adults, hold SIDS certification, and completed a year long internship at an elementary school, where I created lesson plans, supported classroom activities, and worked closely with students and teachers in a kindergarten classroom. I'm currently in college working toward becoming a Child Life Specialist, and I'm very passionate about creating a safe nurturing and engaging environment for children. Hi! I'm newer to this field but growing up I've always loved helping others. Whether it was helping take care of my 4 little siblings, or our family dog I've always been in an environment where I was helping to care for someone. I also would love volunteering, for 4 years I was a reading tutor for a company called Read&Feed and I also dabbled in volunteering at different events as well as summer camps. I recently went to school for Esthetics and work part-time as a medical esthetician at a Wellness Clinic in Cary. Currently, I'm just looking for part-time work for the days I'm not at the Clinic. I'm open to working with any age group including senior care as well as pets like cats and dogs :)

I have provided child care before, during and after graduating from Meredith College, I stayed home and homeschooled my own 2 children who are now 16.5, daughter, and 22, son. My daughter would love to come with me and play and snuggle too. When my children were young, I cared for several single Moms' kids and a couple of other families. As they grew older, I found a data entry job and real estate from home. I miss having time with little ones and would love to provide occasional care for others. I am a former lifeguard and have had my CPR recertified a few times over the years that included infants as well. My daughter and I also provided senior care to my 2 parents for the last 3+ years. I can provide transportation to shops, take out to lunch, provide activities, and accompany them to Dr appointments. Hello! It brings me so much joy to care for people and pets of all ages! I worked as an occupational therapy assistant (primarily with the elderly) for 35 years! I also worked in that capacity in schools (with elementary children) for a few years! My current role is as a nanny for an infant and a toddler! I've had cats and dogs as pets my whole life and have lovingly cared for my family and friends animals over the years too! My interests include art, music, cooking, gardening and reading . I try to incorporate all of these while caregiving as much as possible!
