Lauren is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Manhattan in the fall of 2021 with her two cats! She began volunteering at a special needs arts program at the age of 14 and has remained dedicated to the field ever since. Lauren graduated from Chapman University with degrees in Psychology and Integrated Educational Studies and from Teachers College, Columbia University with a Masters in Developmental Disabilities. She recently worked at a Jewish community center in Washington Heights for two years as an Inclusion Coordinator, overseeing disability inclusion in their afterschool program, summer camp, and directing a weekly social skills and play program for autistic and neurodivergent children.
