I started babysitting in 2011, when I was a freshman at NYU. I'm now 33 and a freelance writer and editor. From 2011 to 2017 (before I left NYC temporarily for grad school), I babysat for 10-40 hours each week. My experience ranges from newborns to 14-year-olds, with every age in between. I am a part-time college student at the University of Maryland in College Park. I have years of experience working with children as well as engaging with them outside of a professional setting. I have 2 young nieces (10 and 8) whom I often babysit, drive to and from activities, and keep busy at home while my brother is working. My prior babysitting experience also includes neighbors, children of friends and family, and other relatives. I grew up a dancer so as soon as I became old enough, I was student teaching classes for pre-schoolers and eventually taught some classes on my own.
