I moved to NYC from San Francisco 2 years ago and work full-time remote position. I always have a great time around kids and love being around them, whether it's chillin' out watching cartoons or going to the playground, and preparing food for them...even with them! How I got involved childcare: I have one younger sibling who is ten years younger, so I grew up taking care of him and helping out mom. As the years passed, my younger brother made friends on the block and I became the neighborhood babysitter. What I Expect From Parents: - If a parent cancellation occurs within 24 hours, I expect to be compensated for the full amount of the job. - To inform me of any illness of the child before job start. - To inform me if a parent will be home for the duration of the job before job start. - If any duties aside from caring for the child are expected (dishes, laundry, plant watering, feeding pets, etc.) The UrbanSitter app has given me tons of experience with children of all ages and behaviors. I've utilized this app for about 4 years, with approximately 70 repeat families and 200+ gigs in total.
