Hi there! Thank you for considering me. Here’s a bit about me: I am a former elementary school special education teacher in which I have 6 years of experience. Last year, I transitioned out my teaching role and now own a travel agency. Now that I'm no longer in the classroom I primarily support families with providing occasional care for after school, family nights out, last minute cancellations, as well as nannying abroad. UrbanSitter has given me the opportunity to continue supporting families and use my educator skills in a variety of settings. I am oldest sister of 3 and was the primary sitter for my brothers growing up. They inspired me to become a teacher and bring love and compassion into the classroom, and now anywhere I go. Hi my name is Ximena. I worked as a first grade teacher in Colombia, I came to the US as an au pair and worked for a family for 2.5 years I took care of 2 kids they were 1.6 and 5. I helped them to build and reinforce different skills, I also volunteered as a teacher assistant at Buena Vista Horace Mann school and At ccsf helping kids and adults with literacy. I grew up in a small town in Missouri and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia. I graduated with a degree in Theatre. I am the oldest in my family and took care of my younger brothers, as well as younger cousins, growing up. From age 13 through high school, I babysat for a local family who had six kids all between the ages of 7 and newborn. I taught dance through high school and my first two years of college. I taught 3-5 year olds as well as pre-teens and teenagers. I am happy to help with homework and projects or anything else they may need!
